About WildSide Farm

WildSide Farm is a small, regenerative farm located in Orange County, North Carolina, serving the Chapel Hill and greater Triangle area. We grow high-quality, seasonal vegetables along with strawberries, blackberries, and perennial crops using regenerative and sustainable farming practices that prioritize soil health and ecosystem resilience.

We offer a seasonal CSA program, an on-farm market, and U-Pick strawberry and blackberry experiences, providing our community with truly fresh, local produce straight from the farm. Our goal is to grow nourishing food, strengthen the local food system, and help people feel more connected to where their food comes from.

Chapel Hill is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Chapel Hill follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Our family loves visiting Wildside farm! Debbie and family have made such an amazing place for kids to learn about where food comes from. Their kindness in teaching kids how to harvest correctly is such a gift. The strawberries and blackberries are incredibly delicious. Our youngest won’t eat store bought strawberries but loves eating them straight from the vine!

Wildside Farm is the essence of a community focused, organic farm that fills both your nutritional needs and your heart. Their welcoming vibe, their open space, the Farmers themselves: Walt and Deb and their daughter Emily and their team, make the place a highlight to visit every week when I pick up my weekly store of amazing vegetables. Sometimes I visit with the team. Sometimes I go for a walk around their fabulous setting, and sometime I pick my own. Anything I can do to be there means I will feel better for having done so. I am so truly grateful for all of it. GO!

I am so happy to have discovered WildSide farm! What an amazing operation and within a stones throw of Saxapahaw. Berry picking season is my fave but anything you pick (or pick up) is guaranteed to be delicious! Be sure to subscribe to their list too for updates and fantastic farm events.

I love WildSide Farm! The online store is so convenient because I can choose exactly what I want ahead of pickup. They've partnered with Wooden Nickle Farms so we can buy local meats too! I also really enjoy their tours and events with vendors and live music. Great way to spend an afternoon and see where our food is grown!

Wild Side Farm is hands down one of the best sources for fresh produce in the Chapel Hill area. After years of searching for top quality vegetables at farmers markets and specialty stores across the state, this farm stands out as the freshest and most flavorful I have found. The carrots alone are worth the trip. You can taste the results of their regenerative farming and careful soil building. This is how vegetables are supposed to taste. The lettuce, greens, turnips, beets, and berries are consistently vibrant and full of flavor. Their u-pick strawberries are a fantastic family activity and some of the sweetest, juiciest strawberries around. They also make it convenient with an online market and local drop off locations, which is great for busy schedules in and around Chapel Hill. The family behind the farm is warm and welcoming, and their passion shows in everything they do. From the beautiful property to their long term vision, they are building something special for the local community. Highly recommend Wild Side Farm to anyone in Chapel Hill looking for truly fresh, local, high quality produce.
